Overview

In partnership with David Eccles School of Business the Engineering Entrepreneurship Certificate offering engineering students hands-on innovation experience as well as a strong foundation in the business aspects of technology. Our aim is to provide the educational background to thrive in small and large business environments, convey technical information in business terms and understand business viability of engineering solutions. All science and engineering students interested in understanding the complexities of the dynamic business world we live in are invited to apply.

Requirements

Undergraduate students in science and engineering only need 20 credit hours to complete the certificate. Some of the courses taken toward their engineering degree count toward the certificate: the exact number of additional courses depends on the student’s major. The table below lists the courses that an undergraduate student must take to receive the certificate and the equivalent course that can be taken in each department to fulfill the same requirements. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required to receive the certificate.
